The iTero Scanner is a state-of-the-art digital impression system that eliminates the need for messy putty in your mouth. With our iTero Scanner, we can digitally capture a detailed 3D model of your teeth and gums. During the impression process, you can breathe or swallow as you normally would. You can even pause during the process if you need to sneeze or just want to ask a question. The scanner gives us a 3D model of your mouth that we use with all clear aligners dental services to show you what your new smile might look like.
Cone Beam CT Scanner
Centre Dentaire Beaumont DMD is one of the few dental offices with an on-site 3D Cone Beam CT Scanner! This revolutionary technology provides three-dimensional views that allow your doctor to thoroughly assess and plan each patient prior to any procedure. Unlike a traditional CT Scanner, this 3D system utilizes Cone Beam Technology and provides us with precise, crystal-clear images. The information that the scan offers is invaluable during the assessment and planning phases of dental implants and many other surgeries. We are able to accurately visualize and prepare for issues such as bone quality and the location of sinuses, nerves, and other vital anatomical landmarks. By utilizing this scan prior to surgery, we greatly improve our patients’ experience and deliver a positive treatment outcome.

Digital Radiography
Digital x-rays are the newest technology used in dentistry to take and archive dental x-rays. Digital x-rays significantly reduces the amount of radiation as compared to traditional dental x-rays. This technique captures a digital picture of teeth with their supporting bone structures and stores the images on a computer in our dental office in Mont-Royal, QC. You and Dr. Petruccelli will be able to instantly view your x-rays and enlarge the image to aid in the identification of dental problems and to gauge your dental health. Dr. Petruccelli will use this information to create an individualized treatment plan.
Intra-Oral Camera
Taking pictures of the teeth and supporting tissue with a small video camera about the size of a pen is a wonderful addition to dentistry today. The intra-oral camera creates digital images that can be stored on a computer at Centre Dentaire Beaumont DMD. The images are shared with our patients so they can join with us in the "co-diagnosis" of problems with their dental health. We can show you how others view your smile and which dental fillings are broken or discolored. We look forward to showing you a dental tour of your mouth in the privacy of your treatment room.
Oral Cancer Screening
The incidence of oral cancer continues to rise in Canada and the USA. Alarmingly, 25% of new oral cancer cases are patients who do not have any traditional life style risk factors such as age, tobacco, and alcohol use. We use a Visually Enhanced Lesion Scope (VELscope) to pinpoint and identify suspicious tissue at earlier stages before they may become life threatening concerns. This technology has successfully improved the identification of pre-cancerous abnormalities in thousands of exams and is similar to other early detection procedures such as mammography and colonoscopy. The oral cancer exam can be performed during a routine hygiene exam in about two minutes and the results are immediately available.
